MSP Arrest Suspected Cocaine Dealer at Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin

Maryland State Police say they have arrested 45-year-old Robert Lee Elmore of Princess Anne after an anonymous tip led to a drug dealing investigation.

Troopers say they received an anonymous tip Sunday that a vehicle involved in drug distribution was en route to the Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin with two armed occupants. Troopers, in coordination with Ocean Downs Security located the vehicle on casino grounds, and apprehended Elmore, who was wanted on a Worcester County Grand Jury Indictment for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

A search of Elmore’s vehicle uncovered 15 individually wrapped baggies of cocaine, approximately nine grams of marijuana and two baggies of crack-cocaine, weighing about 3 grams each.

Elmore has been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuana. He was also served with his prior indictment. He was held on 5,000 dollars bond, but the bond was revoked pending a hearing in Circuit Court on the indictment.
