An investigation by Maryland State Fire Marshals has determined a fire on Locust Street in Crisfield was arson. Crisfield firefighters were called just after 5 Monday morning and found fire venting to the outside of the home. Officials say the home was vacant and there was no evidence of smoke alarms or a sprinkler system. Investigators say the fire began inside the home on the first floor. Officials say this is the 3rd vacant house fire in Crisfield since last October. The others were on West Main Street on October 9th and on North Third Street on October 12th. Anyone with information – contact Crisfield Police, Somerset County Sheriff’s office or MSP – Princess Anne Barrack or call the State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780 or 410-517-3680 (after hours).
