Minnesota Man Arrested in Felton, DE for Domestic Violence; Head-Butting, Spitting on Police Officers
A 38-year-old Minneapolis, Minnesota man has been arrested for a domestic incident that ocurred on East Sewell Street in Felton on Wednesday evening. Police say Gerome Jiggetts fled the scene before police arrived. Jiggetts reportedly punched the victim in the face, attempted to throw hot cooking grease on the person, and stole the victim’s phone–preventing the individual from calling 911. As police were investigating, Jiggetts returned to the home where cops confronted him. He refused to get out of his vehicle and became physically combative– head-butting an officer and spitting on 3 others while continuing to resist arrest. Further investigation revealed Jiggetts was wanted out of Bristol Township Police Department in Pennsylvania for Terroristic Threats, Reckless Endangerment, Assault and Criminal Mischief. Jiggetts faces numerous charges and is currently awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. He was issued a no contact order with the victim.

Felony) Offensive Touching of a Law Enforcement Officer (Class A Misdemeanor), Offensive
Touching of Another with Saliva, Urine, Feces or Other Bodily Fluid X2 (Class A
Misdemeanor), Theft Under $1500 (Class A Misdemeanor), Failure to Comply with Taking of
Photos and Fingerprints (Class A Misdemeanor) Malicious Interference with Emergency
Communications (Class B Misdemeanor) and numerous other traffic related charges. Jiggetts
was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute/Department of Corrections where he was
arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court and is currently awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
Additionally, he was issued a no contact order with the victim. Assisting agencies were the
Harrington Police Department/EMS and Delaware State Police Troop 3.
