A Millsboro man was arrested on DUI charges after police say he caused a crash involving several vehicles on Route 50 near Salisbury.

According to Maryland State Police, around 10 a.m., Sunday troopers were dispatched to a three-vehicle collision at Route 50 and Walston Switch Road near Salisbury in Wicomico County.

Troopers arrived and helped those who were involved in the crash.

Troopers made contact with the drivers of the vehicles, including David Michael Arvey of Millsboro, who was the driver at fault, according to police.

While speaking with Arvey, troopers detected an odor of alcohol on his breath and noticed signs of impairment.

Arvey submitted to a standardized field sobriety test. As a result of his poor performance, he was arrested and charged with multiple DUI/DWI and traffic charges.
