Millsboro Man Charged with Attempted Burglary

Delaware State Police were called to the Rehoboth Shores area for a disorderly man with a gun. Troopers learned that 19 year old Dwayne Barnes of Millsboro was involved in a fight in the roadway and allegedly showed a BB gun. The investigation showed that Barnes tried to break into a 21 year old woman’s home by kicking in the rear door – a security guard was contacted – and he was threatened by Barnes. Barnes was gone when Troopers arrived, but located by Probation and Parole officers hiding in a pond and arrested. Barnes faces multiple offenses.
