Milford Man Sentenced for October Rape
The Office of the Delaware Attorney General says 31-year-old Kamau Graves of Milford has been sentenced after pleading guilty to numerous rape charges stemming from an incident in October of 2018.
Deputy Attorney General Rebecca Anderson says Graves told a woman he was looking for her boyfriend and asked to used the bathroom at her home. Once inside, he took a knife from the kitchen, threatened the woman and raped her.
Graves pleaded guilty to two counts of Third Degree Rape and 1 count of Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony.
A Superior Court judge has sentenced Graves to 12 years in prison, and require him to register as a Tier III sex offender and enter a key substance abuse program during his 6 years of probation. He has also been ordered to have no contact with the victim.
