Milford man released following drug investigation

A Milford man was released after an investigation led to the seizure of heroin.

According to the Milford Police Department’s Drug Unit and the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force, 54-year-old Anthony M. Barnes, of Milford, was arrested after warrants were issued.

Barnes was known to be wanted by Detectives after a series of warrants were issued following an investigation in August.

In the investigation last month, heroin and drug paraphernalia were seized. 

Barnes was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

He was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
