Milford Man Charged After Physical Altercation

Milford Police have arrested and charged 32-year-old Ricky Ness following an altercation that took place near a residence in the 400 block of Southeast Front Street on February 12.

Authorities say Ness held a victim against a parked vehicle, causing them to scream in distress. An officer nearby on McColley Street investigated, and Ness initially failed to comply with the officer’s commands. Investigators learned Ness and the victim were together but the victim eventually became uncomfortable with Ness’ actions and tried to flee.

Ness made threats to harm the officer and the victim while in custody. He has been charged with Strangulation, second degree unlawful imprisonment, two counts of terroristic threats, resisting arrest, offensive touching and third degree criminal trespass. His bail has been set at 9,501 dollars, secured. He’s being held at Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, with a court date set for Thursday.
