Milford man arrested on drug, DUI charges in Harrington
A Milford man was arrested on DUI charges after police say he drove high and blocked a road in Harrington with a shotgun, cocaine and other drugs inside his vehicle.
According to the Delaware State Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:40 p.m., Sunday as troopers were dispatched to the area of Beebe Road and Woodyard Road in Harrington, for reports of a car blocking the roadway.
Holben was located in the driver鈥檚 seat of the F-150 and appeared to be confused and disoriented. A DUI investigation ensued.
A computer inquiry revealed that the driver, 23-year-old Brian W. Holben, was driving on suspended license and was a person prohibited from possessing a weapon or ammunition.
Police also discovered that the truck was unregistered and the registration had been altered.
A search of the vehicle turned up a Remington 870 12G Shotgun, shotgun ammunition, approximately 10.99 grams of marijuana, approximately 10.19 grams cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
Holben was arrested on a slew of charges and arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $62,700.00 secured bond.
