February 9, 2018
Maryland State Senate passing a measure to delay the start date of the new paid sick leave bill. Currently, businesses need to be in compliance with the law by February 11th, however the delay would extend that start date to July 1st. State Senator Jim Mathias says the delay will give extra time to help small businesses update their bookkeeping software. The measure now heads to the House of Delegates for approval.
