MD officials: Make sure licensed tree experts clean up after storms

After the recent storms and another one looming, you may be dealing with tree damage on your property. Maryland Department of Natural Resources is warning property owners that state licensed tree experts are the only professionals who should be hired to trim and remove damaged and downed trees. You can verify if a contractor holds a state license by asking them before any work is performed, or a list of licensed experts is available online. Officials recommend you also get more than one estimate for the job, get a written contract, and never pay in full before the work is done as specified in your contract.
