Maryland Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Sexual Abuse of a Minor

A Lusby, Maryland man has been sentenced in Worcester County Circuit Court on a charge of sexual abuse of a minor. After a 2-day trial in July, 29 year old Alvin Redmon was found guilty – he was sentenced on December 15th to 25 years in prison – the maximum sentence allowed.
Court records show that a complaint of sexual abuse was originally reported by the victim to authorities in Calvert County in 2021. Investigation showed that the abuse occurred over several years – and in several jurisdictions – including Ocean City when Redmon was the boyfriend of the victim’s mother. The victim was 15 at the time.
