Maryland Board of Education Sets February Meeting
The Maryland State Board of Education has announced it’s regular meeting set for Tuesday, February 26 at the Maryland State Department of Education in Baltimore.
The meeting’s itinerary includes honoring the Milken Award Recipient, fourth grade teacher Brian Quinn of East Silver Spring Elementary School, a review of the state’s progress in complying with federal Every Student Succeeds Act laws, and analyzing the results of the Maryland Report Card.
Teacher Certification will also take place, reviewing out-of-state pathways leading to a Maryland certificate and the consideration of possible changes, as well as a discussion of Maryland’s Advanced Placement courses, and an analysis of the most recent AP testing results.
The meeting takes place around 9 a.m. at 200 West Baltimore Street, and is expected to last until around 4 p.m. For more information you can visit marylandpublicschools.org
