Mardela Springs Man Sentenced for Rape

A Mardela Springs man has been sentenced for 2nd degree rape. A Wicomico Circuit Court Judge sentenced 38 year old Warner Parkhurst to 20 years in prison with all but 15 suspended. Parkhurst must also register as a Tier 3 sex offender for life. He pleaded guilty to rape in April after he had non-consensual intercourse with a 14 year old girl staying at Parkhurst’s home last November.
