UPDATE | Man shot, killed in Harrington
UPDATED – 12/13/19 – 1PM – The investigation into a shooting last week in Harrington continues. Delaware State Police say 37 year old Robert White of Harrington had just left his home on foot on Wednesday, December 11th when he was shot. White was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that has killed a man in Harrington.
According to Delaware State Police, around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Diamond Court in Harrington to assist the Harrington Police Department for reports of shooting.
Further investigation revealed that a 37-year-old male victim had just left his home on foot when he was shot by an unknown suspect near his house.
The victim sustained a single gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
At the request of the Harrington Police Department, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation.
There is no suspect information at this time.
