Update @ 9:20 a.m. Monday

One person has been shot in Ocean City in the area of North Division Street and the Boardwalk (Atlantic Avenue). The victim was taken to a hospital by Ocean City EMS early Monday morning, according to police.

Our Alan Henney tells us a man was shot in the arm. Police said the 28-year-old man鈥檚 injury is not life-threatening.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting occurred after a brief altercation.

Ocean City police are investigating after a man was found shot around 2:30 a.m. Monday on the boardwalk at 1st Street. He was reportedly shot in the arm and was taken to a trauma center.

Police are searching the boardwalk area for evidence and for several male suspects who fled the area.

A man was previously shot at Talbot Street and the boardwalk on May 22.
