Magnolia Man Sentenced for Child Sex Abuse

A 20 year old Magnolia man has been sentenced for the continuous sexual abuse of a child.  Police arrested Emmanuel Wright in 2018 after an investigation found he’d repeatedly and frequently sexually abused a victim for two years – beginning when she was 12.  He also tried to persuade her to hide evidence of the abuse from her mother and medical professionals.  Wright has been sentenced to 9 years in prison and will be required to register as a Tier 3 sex offender.
