Long Term Drug Distribution Investigation Leads to Eight Additional Arrests
Over the last several months, members of the Worcester County Criminal Enforcement Team conducted a
long term drug distribution investigation in the Pocomoke, Maryland area. The team initiated this covert investigation as a result of an increase in overdoses and several citizens contacting law enforcement about suspected drug activity in their community. At the conclusion of this investigation, the facts were presented to the Worcester County Grand Jury who indicted eight individuals for various drug offenses. They are awaiting trial. Three additional individuals that were a part of this investigation were apprehended in September and charged with various firearms and drug offenses. Sheriff Matt Crisafulli says they will continue to apprehend and hold those accountable who try to poison the communities in Worcester County.
