Lincoln Man Struck by Jeep Near Ellendale

A Lincoln man was hospitalized after he was struck by a Jeep Patriot Friday night on Route 113 in the area of Staytonville Road near Ellendale.  Police say the 33 year old Lincoln man was walking on the white dotted line on Route 113 when the driver honked his horn.  The pedestrian moved into the path of the Jeep and was struck by the left side mirror.  The driver stopped – he was properly restrained and was not impaired.  The pedestrian suffered multiple non-life threatening injuries and was flown to Christiana Hospital.  Police say he was not in a marked crosswalk, wore dark clothing and had no reflective clothing or flashlight and was drunk on the highway.  The investigation is continuing.
