Lincoln Man Arrested in Milford After Foot Chase

The Milford Police Department says it has arrested a Lincoln man after he led officers on a brief foot pursuit.

The incident happened Tuesday, June 18 around 8:26 p.m. An officer on patrol observed 22-year-old Louis Welch of Lincoln on foot in the 600 block of North DuPont Boulevard (U.S. Route 113). They later identified him as being wanted on multiple different cases. After attempting contact with Welch, he fled on foot. With the assistance of another officer, he was taken into custody without incident.

Welch has been charged with Resisting Arrest and Third Degree Criminal Trespass. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution and is awaiting arraignment on his new charges.
