Lewes Woman Dies after September Crash on Route 9

A crash on September 25 on Route 9 at Nassau Commons Boulevard has turned deadly. Delaware State Police say the driver of the Dodge Caravan, 78 year old Virginia Moore of Lewes died last week from her injuries at Beebe Medical Center. The driver of the pickup was treated for minor injuries. Police say the pickup was stopped to turn left when Moore didn’t see the stopped truck and struck the rear of the pickup. say both were properly restrained. The crash remains under investigation.
