Lewes Woman Dies after May Crash in Harbeson

A Lewes woman injured in a crash at Route 5 and Cool Spring Road near Harbeson has died from her injuries.  Delaware State Police say 87 year old Hella Lachman was a passenger in Honda that entered the intersection into the path of a Chevy Suburban.  Both the driver and passenger were properly restrained and hospitalized for minor injuries, but Lachman was later transferred to Delaware Hospice in Milford where she died on June 24^th.  Further investigation showed that her cause of death was from the injuries she sustained in the crash.  Two people in a Jaguar that was also stopped at the intersection were injured when their car was also struck by the Suburban. The investigation is continuing.
