Lewes Woman Arrested for Embezzling from Beebe Healthcare

Lewes Police have arrested a woman for embezzling about $150,000 from Beebe Healthcare. Police say they were notified by hospital officials who discovered irregularities involving Hope Abram. Further investigation by the hospital led to her termination on May 3rd and Lewes Police were called. Abrams was arrested by Lewes Police at her Bay Breeze Drive home. She is charged with theft, 2nd degree forgery and falsifying business records. Police continue to investigate and say additional criminal charges are possible.
