Lewes Mayor and Council are considering an amendment to the noise ordinance concerning outdoor live entertainment at restaurants and amplification.
Establishments that serve alcohol would be permitted to offer live music with external speakers between noon and 10 p.m., unless the state Alcohol Beverage Control Commissioner specifies that it should stop earlier.
Residents and property owners within 1,000 feet of the property would be notified, and there would be a hearing scheduled if amplified music generates ten or more protests.
Comments may be submitted at the City of Lewes website through next Friday, April 1st.
