Laurel Woman Arrested for Shooting Car Tire
Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel woman in Seaford for a domestic argument that led her to discharge her gun at her boyfriend’s vehicle tire.
Police say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 in the area of North Paula Lynn Drive in Seaford. A 37-year-old male told Troopers he and his girlfriend, 43-year-old Toya Roberts of Laurel had engaged in a verbal altercation. Roberts proceeded to leave the house and pulled out a firearm, shooting the tire of a vehicle parked in the driveway. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Roberts left the scene prior to Police’s arrival.
Troopers recovered a shell casing at the scene and observed that the vehicle sustained a flat tire and damage to it’s rim.
Roberts was contacted and turned herself in. She was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, First Degree Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief. Troopers recovered a 9mm pistol and two magazines from Roberts. She was arraigned and released on 15,250 dollars unsecured bond.
