Laurel Teen Sentenced to 16 Years for Manslaughter

A Laurel teen has been sentenced after a shooting death at the Wexford Village Apartments in Laurel. Officials in the AG’s office report that a Superior Court judge sentenced 19 year old Stephon Jackson to 16 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter, firearms and other offenses. 18 year old Mekell Horsey was killed during the 2017 incident.
