Laurel Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Sexual Assault of a Minor

Ten years in prison for the sexual assault of a child – that’s the sentence for 26 year old Brandon Flood of Laurel.  DOJ officials say he pleaded guilty to 1^st degree sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust after he initiated inappropriate sexual contact with a minor on more than one occasion in the spring of this year.  Flood must also complete the Transitions Sex Offender Program – and must register as a Tier 3 sex offender.
