Laurel Man Pleads Guilty to 2nd Degree Murder

A Laurel man has pleaded guilty in the death of another Laurel man in September of last year.  The body of 19 year old Isaac Hatton was found along side a pond near Portsville Road – he had been shot.  The investigation led Delaware State Police to 22 year old Traevon Dixon of Laurel and 27 year old Jerry Reed of Greenwood, as suspects. Dixon has pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder and weapons charges – his sentencing will come after the trial of Reed, who will be tried for 1st degree murder and other offenses at a later date.
