A Laurel man faces charges of making straw purchases of firearms for others.
According to Delaware State Police, an investigation began in March that also involved the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Task Force, Wilmington and Dover Police and Delaware Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement.
State Police said the investigation determined that 24-year-old Keyon Dontae Jabre Eley straw-purchased 38 firearms that were for other people who are prohibited from buying a gun. Eley was arrested earlier this month at a Laurel residence. State Police said he was in possession of one firearm he had purchased at the time.
Eley is facing a total of 68 felony firearms-related charges.
