Kent Co. Crash Claims Life Of Georgetown Man

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash north of Dover on Route 1 early Tuesday morning that has left a Georgetown man dead.

At about 5:47 a.m. Tuesday, a southbound car traveled partially into the center grass median, veered back into the roadway, rotated and traveled across both southbound lanes of traffic. The car then left the roadway and went through a guardrail.

The driver, 53-year-old Marc Jeudy, was freed from the wreckage and flown to Christiana Hospital and admitted in critical condition. Jeudy died of his injuries early Thursday.

His wife was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for minor injuries and released.

According to Delaware State Police, both occupants of the vehicle were properly restrained.

Southbound traffic on Route 1 near Exit 104 was affected for about three hours because of the crash and investigation.
