UPDATED: Homicide investigation underway in Bridgeville
UPDATED 11/29/19 3:30pm – The investigation into a fatal shooting on Evans Drive near Bridgeville Wednesday morning just before 11:30 continues. Delaware State Police located a blue Honda Civic in a lightly wooded area just off the roadway and 45 year old James Bradt of Bridgeville was found unresponsive in the driver鈥檚 seat.聽 He was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.聽 聽Police have no suspect information and ask anyone with information on the shooting on Evans Drive to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333. 聽

Delaware State Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed Wednesday morning in Bridgeville.
According to the Delaware State Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. as troopers were dispatched to the 11000 block of Evans Drive, for reports of shots fired.
Troopers arrived and located a blue Honda Civic stationary in a lightly wooded area just off of the roadway, with a sole occupant in the driver鈥檚 seat unresponsive. Troopers determined that the occupant sustained gunshot wounds and was deceased.
The 45-year-old victim from Bridgeville was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and later turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science. His name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin.
There is no suspect information at this time. This incident continues to remain under investigation by the Homicide Unit and further information will be released as it becomes available.
