Homeless man charged with burglarizing car wash in Milford

A homeless man was arrested after police say he broke into a local car wash on three seperate occassions during a 24-hour period in Milford.

According to the Milford Police Department, just before 7:58 a.m. Monday, September 16 officers were dispatched to Duck In Car Wash on Aerenson Drive for reports of an overnight burglary.

Through surveillance footage obtained from the business, officers learned that the suspect reportedly entered the business on three separate occasions in less than a 24-hour period.

The suspect allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and damaged property each time he broke into the business.

Management and employees of the business were able to identify the suspect as William E. Hutson Jr., 39, of Milford through surveillance footage, according to police.

Police recieved information that Hutson was staying in a wooded area in the 900 block of N DuPont Blvd. in Milford. Officers responded to the area and located Hutson in the woods.

Some of the missing property was recovered and returned to the business, according to police.

Hutson was charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, one count of Possession Of Burglar Tools, one count of Theft $1500 Or Greater, one count of Theft Under $1500, and one count of Criminal Mischief Under $1000.

He was released on $8,500 unsecured bail with a no contact order with Duck In Car Wash.
