Heroin, narcotics seized in Long Neck drug investigation
A Millsboro duo were arrested on multiple drug charges after a search warrant resulted in the seizure of well over a 100 bags of heroin and narcotics in Long Neck.
According to the Delaware State Police Department, troopers concluded a one month drug investigation into the distribution of heroin at a residence located in the 26000 block of Bay Farm Road in Millsboro. With the assistance of the Sussex Governor鈥檚 Task Force and the Sussex County Drug Unit, a search and seizure warrant was executed at the Bay Farm Road residence.
Officers located two subjects inside the residence, 67-year-old Gregory Woudenberg and 55-year-old Richard Burns, both of Millsboro. A computer inquiry revealed that the two are residents at the home.
A search of the residence was conducted and police seized 143 bags of heroin along with 13.5 narcotic pills.
Woudenberg was charged with Possession with Intent to manufacture, deliver a controlled substance, Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, Maintaining a Drug Property, Conspiracy Second Degree, Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $13,400 cash only bond.
Burns was charged with Possession with Intent to manufacture, deliver a controlled substance, Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, Conspiracy Second Degree, Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned and released on $12,500 unsecured bond.
