Gunshots Strike Vehicle, Home Near Seaford
An occupied vehicle and an occupied home in the Seaford area were struck by gunshots late Tuesday night, according to Delaware State Police.
At about 10:26 p.m., three people were traveling in the area of the 500-block of Clearbrooke Boulevard when a dark-colored sedan came up from behind and started to travel recklessly.
As a 17-year-old girl pulled over to the shoulder to allow the other vehicle to pass, it stopped and the front-seat passenger rolled down the side window and fired multiple rounds at the vehicle, striking it.
A 17-year-old girl, and 16-year-old girl and a 31-year-old man were in the vehicle that was targeted. They were not injured.
State Police said shell casings were found in the area, and a bullet hole was found in the garage door of a residence occupied by a 72-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman. They were not struck or injured.
The dark-colored sedan sped off. Police only have a very limited description of the suspect: a black male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
