The Hogan Administration has awarded nearly $4-million for a new violence prevention program which emphasizes a reduction in gun violence.  This is part of the Governor’s commitment to make Maryland safer – the funding comes from the Violence Intervention and Prevention Program which was passed during the 2018 legislative session.  Governor Hogan also signed additional pieces of legislation including measures that impose stricter sentences for repeat violent offenders and those who commit crimes with a gun.
