Georgetown teen, 15, charged with stabbing 18-year-old during fight in Blades
A Georgetown teen was arrested for felony assault after police say he stabbed an 18-year-old during a fight at a gas station in Blades.
According to the Delaware State Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m., Saturday in the parking lot of a BP gas station located at 50 Market Street in Blades, Delaware.
15-year-old Lukas Morrison, of Georgetown, was engaged in an argument with three male suspects over owing them money, according to police, when the altercation escalated and Morrison started fighting with one of the subjects, an 18-year-old.
During the fight, Morrison pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed the 18-year-old one time in his lower extremity, according to police. The two then separated and both left the scene.
The victim responded to an area hospital where he was treated and released for a puncture wound.
Through further investigation, Morrison was identified as the suspect and was taken in to custody at his residence without incident. He was transported to Troop 5 where he was charged with one count each of Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony.
Morrison was arraigned and released to a guardian, pending a future court appearance.
