UPDATED: DSP Identify Victim in Route 24 Crash Near Peddler’s Village
UPDATED – 10-28-18 – Delaware State Police have identified the victim in Tuesday’s crash on Route 24 near Peddler’s Village as 28 year old Christopher Keech of Georgetown. The investigation is continuing.

UPDATED – 10-26-18 11 11:30am – Delaware State Police say the 28 year old Georgetown man who was struck on his moped Tuesday evening near Peddler’s Village near Lewes has died from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet and died a Christiana Medical Center Thursday. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and family members.

A Georgetown man is in serious condition after his moped was struck by a Jeep Wrangler on Route 24. Delaware State Police a still investigating but say the Jeep was waiting to make a left turn into Peddler’s Village and struck the moped which was westbound on Route 24. The moped rider, a 28 year old from Georgetown, was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Christiana Hospital in serious condition. A 16 year old from Millsboro was driving the Jeep and was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Two passengers in the Jeep were not injured.
