Georgetown Man Arrested for Home Burglary
Delaware State Police have identified and arrested 40-year-old Dwayne Sudduth of Georgetown who was wanted in connection with a residential burglary
Troopers say last Wednesday before 1 p.m. they were dispatched to a home in the 24000 block of Lewes-Georgetown Highway for a report of a burglary. They learned the suspect had forced entry into the rear of the home. Once inside, he removed several items and them fled from the scene.
Through the course of an investigation, authorities were able to identify Sudduth as the suspect and take him into custody at a residence on Silver Oak Drive in Georgetown on Monday. He initially tried to flee on foot from police and provide a false identity.
Sudduth was arrested and charged with second degree burglary, theft under 1500 dollars, criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution.
