Georgetown Election in May – a Mayor’s Race

Thursday was the filing deadline for candidates to run for the Mayor and Council in Georgetown. Georgetown residents will go to the polls on Saturday, May 14 to elect a mayor. Incumbent Bill West is challenged by Ruth Ann Spicer for the 2-year seat. Races for the 3^rd and 4^th Wards were uncontested, so Angela Townsend and Penuel Barrett will return to the town council.
