Frankford Man Arrested for Felony Assault

An 83 year old Frankford man has been arrested on charges of felony assault after a domestic incident Thursday afternoon near Frankford. Delaware State Police were called to a home on Shockley Town Road for a stabbing. Their investigation showed that 83 year old Brooks Garrison threatened to kill a relative before he stabbed her multiple times with a knife. He left the scene but then called 9-1-1 to turn himself in to police. The victim was treated for serious injuries and released from an area hospital.
Garrison was taken to Troop 4 and charged with the following crimes:
- Assault First Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon (Felony)
- Terroristic Threatening (Felony)
Garrison was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $102,000 cash bond.
