UPDATED: Former Representative Arrested for Third Time Thursday Night
UPDATED 7-27-18 2:50pm – For the third time this month, 48 year old John Atkins has again been arrested. Delaware State Police tell WGMD Atkins was arrested on Thursday night just before 9 in the Long Neck area and is charged with three counts of Noncompliance With Conditions of Recognizance Bond or Conditions (Felony). He was committed to the Sussex County Correctional Institution on $18,000.00 cash only bond.

Charges of harassment and breach of release for former State Representative John Atkins – from the Lewes Police. Police say that Atkins turned himself in after they were called for a report of harassment from a female victim who works in Lewes. Police learned that Atkins was texting, calling and emailing the victim at her workplace – in violation of his conditions of release from the Court of Common Pleas after an arrest by DSP on July 12th. Atkins free on his own recognizance.
