Former Commissioner Stan Mills Files to Run Against Mayor Paul Kuhns
Former Rehoboth Beach Commissioner Stan Mills announced today that he has filed to run against incumbent Mayor Paul Kuhns for his seat.
After serving 12 years as Rehoboth Beach commissioner, Mills decided last summer to take a break and did not run for another term as commissioner.
But now he is back seeking the town’s top elected position. “After four three-year terms I took a hiatus from my elected position so I could focus on building a new house in the city,” Mills said.
“During the past nine months since I stepped out of office I have been following city government actions. I have not been happy with what I see as a lack of leadership. I believe I can do a better job so I have decided to seek the mayoral seat,” he stated.
“Much of my campaign platform will stem from my previous 12 years on the Board of Commissioners and will include improving transparency, open government and enhanced communications. I look forward to campaigning and chatting with voters. And now that Marcia’s and my new house is nearing completion I will again have the time to devote to public service,” he added.
