Flu Death Toll Rises in Delaware

Public health officials are reporting continued effects from the flu in Delaware.
The Delaware State Health Department says three additional deaths have been contributed to the flu in the last week. The total number of deaths this season is 8. Among the most recent deaths, a 74-year-old woman from Sussex County, who was afflicted by other health issues. The other two deaths were in New Castle County.
Doctors advise the community it is not too late to get a flu shot, and that it may be a good idea to do so. The flu is reportedly widespread nationwide at this point in the season, and high volumes of cases are expected for months to come.
