UPDATED: 2 Fires Heavily Damage Roxana Area Homes – Ruled Intentional

UPDATED 5/11 1pm – Two fires in less than 24 hours in the Frankford-Roxana area have been investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshal. 

Early Sunday morning firefighters from Roxana were called to Evans Road – southeast of Roxana – just after 4:30.  Firefighters found heavy flames coming from the home.  Multiple fire companies assisted or provided back up.  Damage is estimated at $35,000. 

Just after 2:30 Monday morning firefighters were called to Gum Road where they found heavy fire coming from the home.  Crews from Selbyville, Frankford and Dagsboro assisted or provided back up.  Damage is estimated at $60,000.

Fire investigators say both houses were unoccupied when the fires broke out and both have been ruled arson.  No injuries were reported at either fire.  If you have any information on either blaze – contact the State Fire Marshal’s office at 302-856-5600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
