UPDATED: Fire Damages Laurel Home
UPDATED – 1/14/19 2pm – A fire Sunday afternoon heavily damaged a home on West 10th Street in Laurel. Crews arriving at the scene found heavy smoke and a 75 year old woman who escaped from the home, but suffered from burns. She has been taken to the Chester Crozier Burn Center – no other injuries were reported. The State Fire Marshal is investigating to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Damage is estimated at $125,000.

Laurel firefighters were called for a house fire on West 10th Street just before 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Crews arriving at the scene found heavy fire and 1 person in the yard with burns who was taken to an area hospital. Firefighters from Blades, Delmar and Sharptown assisted. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
