Finally! Rocket Lifts Off From Wallops After Week Of Delays
May 17, 2021/
Finally, after several scrubbed launch attempts stretching over a week, a Black Brant 12 rocket lifted off Sunday night from the NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
The rocket, carrying the KiNET-X payload, released vapor tracers into the night sky, to ‘explore energy transfer in space.’
Clouds over Bermuda were the issue during previous nights, but conditions were fine Sunday and the rocket went up at 8:44 p.m.
The next scheduled launch at Wallops is scheduled for May 26th.
