UPDATED: Felton Cyclist Dies in Hit & Run Crash

UPDATED – 7/17/18 – 4:45pm – Police need your help to identify the suspect in a hit and run crash that left a bicycle rider dead early Saturday morning.  Police say between 3:15 AND 3:44 Saturday morning,  a white SUV – a Toyota Highlander –  struck the bicycle rider in the area just south of Plymouth Road on Route 13 north of Felton.  The driver of the SUV left the scene – but lost part of a front bumper.  If you have any information – contact Crime Stoppers.

UPDATED – 7/17/18  –  11:20am – Delaware State Police have identified the victim as 28 year old William Boyer of Felton.

A Felton man is dead after a hit and run accident early Saturday morning.  Delaware State Police say  28 year old man was on a pedi-cycle on the shoulder of Route 13 north of Felton just after 3am – he was wearing high visibility safety straps, but no helmet – when he was struck from behind by an unknown white SUV and ejected from the cycle.  Police say the vehicle left the scene, but a partial white bumper was left behind.  The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police ask anyone with information on the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
