Federalsburg Man Charged with Attempted Murder
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Bobyto Saint Francklin of Federalsburg has been arrested and charged following a stabbing incident that left two people injured.
Deputies say they responded around 3:09 a.m. on Thursday morning to a residence in the 5000 block of Williamsburg Church Road in Hurlock. Their investigation uncovered that that Francklin entered the residence through an unlocked door and stabbed a 38-year-old male victim 3 times. During a struggle, a 21-year-old female victim’s hand was slashed. The male victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury for treatment. The female victim was transported to University of Maryland Medical Center in Cambridge.
The suspect was later located hiding in the attic of a residence in the 300 block of East Central Avenue in Federalsburg by 2 Maryland State Police Troopers. He was taken into custody without incident. Francklin was charged with First Degree Attempted Murder, Second Degree Attempted Murder, 2 counts of First Degree Assault, 2 counts of Second Degree Assault, 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment, Breaking and Entering with the Intent to commit First Degree Assault and Breaking and Entering. He is being held without bond.
