“Treescapes in Wire… Wire Sculpture” – Rehoboth Beach

Want to make your own unique home decor and bring some organic design to your space? Artist Lisa Locke will be teaching a one-day beginner sculpture class at the Rehoboth Art League, dedicated to creating wire tree sculptures. “Treescapes in Wire… Wire Sculpture” will run on Saturday, June 22 from 9:00am-12:00pm on the RAL campus in Henlopen Acres. 

Students will be taught techniques of crafting life-like trees out of black metal wire. Completed trees will then be mounted on a variety of natural bases, such as driftwood and shelf fungus. Other natural materials may be added as decoration, such as acorns or seed pods or pebbles or dried flowers. Hands should be prepared for a workout.

“Treescapes in Wire… Wire Sculptures” with Lisa Locke is available for students at a beginner skill level, 16 years and older. The cost of the class is $65 for members or $75 for non-members. Visit rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408 ex. 112 to register.
