“The American Church, Politics and You” – Lewes

A Committee of the Eastern Sussex Republican Club has prepared a 45-minute presentation on“The American Church, Politics and You”. This presentation will be presented at our next meeting onMonday July 15, 2024, in the Conference Room at the Delaware State Police Troop 7, off Rt. 24 (East of the new Love Creek Elementary & Beacon Middle Schools) at19444 Mulberry Knoll Road, Lewes, DE 19958. The meeting Social Time will begin at 6:30 PM and the Meeting will start at 7:00 PM. 

In this time of social unrest and the diminishing moral values in our society and government, we are concerned that many religious organizations have lost sight that they can make a difference in our future. When we inquired to many Religious Followers, we were told that they felt restricted because they had been led to believe that “Church & State” cannot be brought together. Unfortunately, that “restriction of Church & State” is not the truth and may explain why during the last Election Cycle it has been reported that approximately 60% of the Religious Followers never voted.

Furthermore, of the Religious Followers that did vote, many voted strictly according to their political affiliation and not for Candidates with their moral values. As President of the Eastern Sussex Republican Club (ESRC) and as a Christian, I wanted to attempt to provide some insightful information to these Religious Followers regarding what the Biblical writings say and the history of the outcomes when the Churches turn a blind eye to their governmental proceedings.
